Thorn Alpha 2000 (Rev A/2-4-2009) Dimming Gear Tray Conversion

INSTALLATION GUIDANCE NOTES FOR

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL & S.E.C. LIGHTING SERVICES

1. Isolate mains supply to lantern and open lid in usual manner by releasing the clip at the front of the lantern.
2. Unscrew securing bolt (Blue circle)
3. Remove 3 way connector to lamp circuit (Yellow circle)
4. Disconnect mains and Pecu wiring from connector block and remove tray.
   
   
   
5. Position new pre wired gear tray assembly into keyhole slot and tighten screw.
6. Connect up 6 way connector as diagram below

NOTE: The original lamp circuit has 3 wires, Black, Brown & Blue. Only 2 of these wires are required, connect Black to + and Blue to - terminal as per the label (LAMP) on the new gear tray. Tape up the Brown cable with insulation tape as this is no longer required. Re energise circuit and test lamp for operation.
